Who We Are

We attend and support a local church, but this website is not affiliated with any organization.  We do not use your name for any purpose. We do not release names or any personal information to any third party.

This is not a commercial website, so we do not offer anything for sale, and we will never ask you for any money.  We don’t have affiliate links, so we don’t make any money if you visit one of the organizations listed on our Links page.  Our position in this area does not imply disapproval of those organizations which sell products on their websites; we just make the personal choice not to do so.

Our intention is to offer free information with no strings attached.  We want you to feel free to browse and ask questions without affiliate links, pop-up ads, or products to buy.  We hope you enjoy the experience.

One of our objectives on this site is to be honest and true to the biblical message but not limited to one denomination or Christian group.  Truth by definition is narrow; two plus two is always four, no matter what we believe the answer to be.

So it’s a bit like walking a tightrope: we want to be narrow when we must and broad-minded when we should.

We don’t claim to have it figured out, but we’re trying!  We welcome your comments.

We would like to mention a few assumptions we make:

  1. We assume that God exists and wants to communicate with us.
  2. We assume the Bible contains the thoughts of God that he intended to communicate to us.
  3. We assume that the Bible contains an accurate record of ancient history and of the life and teachings of Jesus.  This is the reason we use a verse from the Bible to quote from Jesus.  Whether the Bible is accurate is a different topic.
