Do all religions lead to the same God?

Many people say all religions are like different roads leading to the same God. But when we look closely, the teachings of religions are very different.

For example, Christianity says Jesus is the Son of God and salvation is by grace. Islam says Jesus was only a prophet and salvation is by works. Hinduism speaks of many gods, while Buddhism denies a personal God at all. These cannot all be true at the same time.

If all religions led to the same God, then Jesus would not have needed to die. But He said clearly, “No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). This is not arrogance but truth. Only Jesus provides forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

This does not mean all religions are worthless. Many teach kindness and respect. But they do not solve the problem of sin or provide a Savior.

So, not all religions lead to the same God. Christianity is unique because it points to Jesus, who is the only way of reconciliation with God.

John 14:6 “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'”

Acts 4:12 “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people.”

Isaiah 44:6-8 “This is what the Lord says — Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God… Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one.”
